The Department of Commerce, Christ College, Vizhinjam, in association with KOMERTSIYA and IQAC, organised the Inauguration of the Commerce Association – KOMERTSIYA 2026 on 18 August 2026 at 9:30 AM in the Audio Visual Room. The programme was organised as part of the academic activities of the Department of Commerce and also featured the celebration of Commerce Day. The programme provided students with an opportunity to participate in the formal inauguration of the association and to interact with an accomplished personality from the business and entrepreneurial field.
The programme was graced by Dr. Baiju Ramachandran, Founder & Chairman, BRACs, as the Chief Guest. His presence added significant value to the inauguration and provided students with an opportunity to gain practical perspectives on entrepreneurship, business, leadership and professional development. The programme served as a platform for encouraging students to take an active role in the activities of KOMERTSIYA and to develop skills beyond the classroom.
The inauguration also highlighted the importance of student associations in creating opportunities for experiential learning, interaction, teamwork and professional growth. The involvement of the Department of Commerce, KOMERTSIYA and IQAC reflected the institution’s commitment to providing students with meaningful academic and co-curricular experiences. The programme successfully marked the beginning of the activities of the Commerce Association for the academic year 2026.
