About IQAC
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Christ College Vizhinjam is an integral part of the institution that works towards continuous improvement and sustenance of quality in all academic and administrative activities. Established in accordance with the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the IQAC aims to develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic action to enhance the overall performance of the institution. At Christ College Vizhinjam, the IQAC was initiated with the objective of enhancing the quality of students’ individual attributes, knowledge, abilities, and skills. It conducts periodic meetings to design action plans for performance evaluation and quality enhancement. As quality improvement is a continuous process, IQAC has become an essential part of the institution’s system, gradually evolving into a culture of excellence. The IQAC actively promotes curriculum development, research, and scholarly engagement among faculty members. It focuses on key areas such as teaching-learning processes, research initiatives, infrastructure development, and student support systems. It also formulates and encourages policies and procedures for the effective implementation of student-centric services. Committed to a learner-centred approach, IQAC recognizes the diverse social and cultural backgrounds of students and strives to nurture their skills and attitudes. Through regular workshops, seminars, and academic activities, the campus remains vibrant and intellectually active. The IQAC also plays a vital role in organizing training programs and fostering collaboration among stakeholders. Through its structured and proactive approach, the IQAC of Christ College Vizhinjam strives to institutionalize best practices and create a culture of quality that leads to academic excellence and the holistic development of students.
Objectives of IQAC
- To develop and implement quality benchmarks for academic and administrative activities of the college in accordance with higher education standards.
- To promote a learner-centric environment that supports academic excellence, innovation, research, and holistic student development.
- To ensure continuous improvement in teaching-learning processes through regular feedback, evaluation, and adoption of modern pedagogical practices.
- To encourage faculty development, research activities, extension programs, and collaborations with academic and industry institutions.
- To establish a system for documentation, monitoring, and enhancement of institutional performance for sustained quality assurance and accreditation readiness.
