Medialogue, the Add-on Course on ‘Journalism and TV anchoring’, was inaugurated on 19th May 2021 at 3:30 P. M. via Google meet in the Department of English, Christ College Vizhinjam Trivandrum. The course was inaugurated by Mr P.P. James, Editor In-charge of 24 News Channel. The program started with a silent prayer and the welcome speech was done by Ms Soorya Nayana , HOD, Department of English, Christ College Vizhinjam. The Presidential address was done by Dr Cheriyan Panicker, Principal of Christ College Vizhinjam. The introductory session was handled by Mrs Gopika I. S., Former Senior Reporter, The New Indian Express, who spoke about the impact of media and technology. The objectives of the course were introduced along with the basic concepts and fundamental principles of anchoring; familiarized the students with the different styles of anchoring, news reading; exposed the wider application of mass communication and public speaking.
