Add-on Course : “Writing Skills for the New Media”

The Department of English in association with the English Literary Association (ELA) has organized an add-on course for the S4 BA English Language and Literature and BA English and Communicative English students on “Writing Skills for the New Media”. The course was inaugurated by Ms Nandhini Senthil Kumar (Assistant Professor, Department of English, SDNB Vaishnav College for Women, Chennai) on 13th May, 2024. The course intended to devise students’ writing approaches in various new media platforms. Students delved into interactive sessions on new media writing and were able to master the fundamental best writing practices that will enable them to engage with creative content creation in today’s multimedia world. The course envisaged to provide an opportunity for the students to amplify their skills in new media content creation. New media writing, a demanding realm in today’s digital arena holds an overarching role among emerging content writers. This course equipped  students with the confidence to stand out in the new media world.
