Centre for Counselling Service & Peer Education Programme (CCS & PEP)
The Centre aims to promote emotional well-being and personal growth among students through counselling, guidance, and peer-led initiatives. It provides a supportive space where students can learn, share, and grow together while fostering a culture of empathy, understanding, and resilience on campus.
Motto
“ Together We Learn, Together We Heal ” means that by sharing knowledge, experiences, and support with one another, we grow and heal as a community. It reflects unity, mutual learning, and emotional healing through connection and understanding.
Objectives
- > To offer counselling services to meet the special needs of students.
- > To support students emotionally, intellectually, and socially during campus life.
- > To assist students in overcoming social and academic pressures.
- > To help students adjust to changing life situations.
- Conducted Karunasai’s U&Q Programme at Christ College, Vizhinjam, with participation from Psychology, Social Work, and English departments.
- Participated in the U&Q Finale at Pankajakasthuri Nursing College during Karunasai’s Psych Fest.
- Club members and delegates represented the institution in Karunasai’s Psych Fest held in the first week of February.
- Conducted a Student-Led Workshop on “Mental Health in Relationships”, focusing on emotional well-being, healthy communication, and awareness of mental health dynamics in interpersonal relationships.
- Organised a Workshop on “Everything is Connected: A Systems Thinking Lens – Exploring Patterns, Interactions, and Rules in Human Behaviour”, aimed at understanding how interconnected systems influence thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.
