Civil Service Orientation – “How to Become IAS/IPS @ 21”

The Civil Service Club and the Centre for Placement & Career Guidance of Christ College, Vizhinjam, jointly organised a Civil Service Orientation Programme titled “How to Become IAS/IPS @ 21” on June 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the College Auditorium.

The session was led by Mr. Sarath S, Director of Lead IAS Academy, and Mr. Naseeb Sameer, an expert in UPSC Prelims and Mains. The programme aimed to inspire and guide students towards a career in the Indian Civil Services, highlighting the strategies, preparation techniques, and mindset required to achieve success at a young age.

The event was held under the guidance of the Advisory Committee comprising Adv. Rev. Fr. Thomas Cheppila CMI (Manager cum Director) and Dr. Joseph K. A. (Principal). The programme was coordinated by faculty members Sreelekshmi S. L., Lekshmi Chandran C. P., and Aswathy J. S., with student coordinators Ms. Anna Marry R. and Ms. Shruthi Jose.

The event witnessed active participation from S3 FYUGP students of the Department of Computer Applications, BBA, BSW and PSYCHOLOGY. Students expressed that the session boosted their motivation to pursue a career in the Civil Services.

The orientation received an enthusiastic response from the students, many of whom expressed renewed motivation to begin their preparation for civil service. The session proved to be both informative and inspiring, leaving participants with a clear roadmap to pursue their IAS/IPS aspirations.
