Debate – Anti-Ragging Week

As part of Anti-Ragging Week, the Anti-Ragging Cell of Christ College, Vizhinjam, organized a debate on the topic “Anti-Ragging Cell.” The event aimed to raise awareness among students about the harmful effects of ragging and to promote a safe and friendly campus environment. The debate was actively participated in by students from the Tax and Finance departments, who shared their views on the importance of a ragging-free college life and the role of the Anti-Ragging Cell in ensuring student safety.

The debate began with Safa A., who spoke strongly against ragging. In the second session, Vishnu (S5 Tax), Beema, Shahid, Binil, Athul, and Safa (S3 Finance) shared their views. Arguments were presented both for and against the motion. Most participants highlighted that ragging harms students and must be avoided. The debate concluded with a unanimous message that friendship, respect, and inclusiveness should replace ragging, reinforcing the college’s commitment to a ragging-free campus.
