INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA 2024

On June 21st, 2024, 38 students from the second and fourth semesters of the Tourism programme participated in a large-scale Yoga Demonstration organized by the Ministry of Tourism (Government of India) in Trivandrum. The event took place at the Kerala Arts and Craft Village, Kovalam, from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, in celebration of International Day of Yoga. The program featured an inspiring inauguration by Shri Suresh Gopi, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Ministry of Tourism. Over 700 attendees, including students, faculty, stakeholders, and tourists, gathered for this unique event. The organizers ensured a comfortable experience by providing yoga mats, caps, T-shirts, certificates, and breakfast to each participant. Two faculties accompanied the students for the programme. The entire programme was highly inspiring for the participants.

The program followed this well-structured schedule which created a fulfilling experience among the participants.

  • 07:00 AM – 07:30 AM: Participants assemble at the venue.
  • 07:30 AM – 07:45 AM: Inauguration of the International Day of Yoga 2024 celebration.
  • 07:45 AM – 08:45 AM: Yoga demonstration
  • 08:45 AM – 09:00 AM: Honouring of dignitaries and Yoga Masters
  • 09:00 AM onwards: Refreshments and disperse.
