Department of English of Christ College, Vizhinjam hosted an insightful webinar titled “Mapping the Mind, Minding the Map: Trends in Contemporary Indian English Poetry.” This event provided a valuable platform for exploring current trends and perspectives within contemporary Indian English poetry.

The webinar featured Dr. Jayadeep Sarangi, Principal of New Alipore College, Kolkata, West Bengal, as the esteemed resource person. Dr. Sarangi shared his expertise and insights on the evolving landscape of Indian English poetry, offering participants a deeper understanding of its nuances and directions. The session was held on March 6, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, via Google Meet, allowing for widespread participation.

The webinar was efficiently coordinated by Dr Anupama Prajith and Ms. Lekshmipriya G.P., ensuring its smooth execution and success.

The Department of Computer Applications, Christ College, Vizhinjam, in association with IQAC, successfully organized “Write It Right – Typing Master & Data Entry Competition” on 2 July 2026 at 11:30 a.m. in the Computer Lab. The event was conducted with the objective of enhancing students’ typing proficiency, accuracy, speed, and data entry skills, which are
