The SC/ST Cell of Christ College was constituted in accordance with the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 (Act No. 33 of 1989, dated 11.09.1989), with the objective of empowering SC/ST students within the college.

- To create an environment in the college where such students feel safe.
- To create awareness among SC/ST/Minority students about the various scholarships available through the State Government and the UGC.
- To offer career guidance and support opportunities to these students.
- To ensure compliance with the guidelines and provisions issued by the UGC and the Government
- To establish a mechanism for addressing and resolving the grievances of SC/ST/Minority students, if any.
