Youth Unbound: Interactive Session on Youth Empowerment

The Department of Social Work and Psychology, Christ College, Vizhinjam, in association with Life Foundation Kerala, the District Women & Child Development Office, Thiruvananthapuram, and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), successfully organized an interactive youth empowerment programme titled “Youth Unbound – Beyond Gender, Beyond Barriers, Beyond Limits” on 13 August 2026 at the College Auditorium.

The resource person, Mr. Sangeeth Sebastian, Certified Sexuality Educator, former Assistant Editor of the India Today Group, and DAAD Fellowship Winner, led an engaging and thought-provoking session focusing on gender sensitivity, self-awareness, healthy relationships, personal responsibility, and youth empowerment. Through interactive discussions and real-life examples, the session encouraged students to challenge stereotypes, embrace diversity, and build confidence to become socially responsible citizens.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, providing a safe and inclusive platform for meaningful dialogue on issues affecting today’s youth.

The event concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where participants actively engaged with the resource person, making the programme an enriching and impactful learning experience.
