The Department of Computer Applications, Christ College Vizhinjam, in association with IQAC and SRISHTI Innovative, successfully organized a Five Days Training Programme on Cyber Security for the students of Semester III BCA. The programme was designed to equip students with essential cybersecurity knowledge and practical skills required to safeguard digital systems and information in today’s technology-driven world.
The training provided participants with a strong foundation in cybersecurity concepts, emphasizing the importance of protecting networks, devices, and data from cyber threats. Students were introduced to key areas such as Fundamentals of Cyber Security, Ethical Hacking and Cyber Ethics, and Network Security and Threat Detection. Through interactive sessions, demonstrations, and real-world case studies, participants gained insights into modern security challenges and best practices for cyber defense.
The programme was led by industry experts Mr. Abhijith B, Cyber Security Analyst, and Mr. Vinayak, Associate Consultant and Team Lead, who shared their professional experiences and practical approaches to identifying and mitigating cyber risks. Their sessions enabled students to understand the latest trends in cyber security and explore potential career opportunities in this rapidly growing field.
This training initiative reflects the department’s commitment to bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements by providing students with exposure to emerging technologies and professional expertise. The programme also encouraged students to develop ethical awareness, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills essential for responsible participation in the digital world.
