The Department of Computer Applications, Christ College Vizhinjam organized a one-day workshop on GOOGLE GEMINI on Monday, 3rd November 2025 from 9.00 AM to 4.00 PM at the Computer Lab. The programme was conducted in association with IQAC and in connection with the ICT Academy of Kerala (ICTAK).
The resource persons for the workshop were Mr. Sooraj S and Mr. Aravind S, Faculty Associates and certified Google Gemini Technical Trainers from ICTAK. The aim of the workshop was to provide students an understanding and hands-on exposure to advanced concepts of Google Gemini, prompting techniques, and the application of generative AI in modern computing environments.
The session covered the evolution of Google’s AI ecosystem, text-to-multimodal capabilities, real-time AI assistance, and integration possibilities in software development using Gemini. A major highlight of the workshop was the hands-on activity where the trainers guided students to develop an application in GitHub using Google Gemini, demonstrating practical implementation workflows with prompt engineering, API usage, automation and project deployment practices.
The overall coordination of the workshop was handled by Ms. Shyni A. L (Faculty Coordinator). Student coordination was done by Al Rihana H. R and Alan Stanley from S1 BCA.
The workshop helped students gain industry-oriented knowledge and develop competency in modern AI tools. The session was highly interactive, informative and beneficial for the participants. The department plans to continue similar industry-integrated workshops to enhance the academic and technical exposure of the students.
