Blood Donation Drive Organised by Department of Social Work

The Department of Social Work, Christ College, successfully organised a Blood Donation Drive on 8th July 2025 in collaboration with the Lions Club of Vizhinjam. The event was held at the college campus from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty.

The medical support for the drive was provided by the Sree Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, whose dedicated team ensured a smooth and safe donation process. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of regular blood donation and to support the community blood bank with urgently needed blood supplies.

Over the course of the drive, a significant number of voluntary donors came forward, showcasing the spirit of service and humanity. The event was marked by meticulous planning and a strong sense of social responsibility from the student volunteers of the Social Work department, who played a key role in coordination and donor care.

The college management appreciated the efforts of the organizing team and extended gratitude to the Lions Club of Vizhinjam and Sree Ramakrishna Mission Hospital for their valuable partnership.
