The Department of Computer Application, in collaboration with CECHNORA and IQAC, organized an insightful session titled “Meet an Entrepreneur” on 17 October 2024. This event aimed to motivate students by providing them with an opportunity to interact with an accomplished entrepreneur, Mr. Abimel S B Kulumala (Founder of Silicon Society, LinkedIn Personal Branding Coach, Cybersecurity Researcher), who discussed his entrepreneurial journey, the challenges he faced, and the importance of cybersecurity in today’s digital landscape. He also shared tips on personal branding, especially on LinkedIn, emphasizing how it can be an essential tool for career advancement.
Through Mr. Abimel’s real-life experiences and guidance, students gained valuable knowledge on how to strategically position themselves in the competitive job market. The “Meet an Entrepreneur” event was highly beneficial, providing students with practical insights and advice directly from an industry expert. The event was well-received, further enriching the students’ learning experience and broadening their career perspectives.
